No! Our first meeting is our opportunity to see if we are a good “fit.” You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you have, share what brought you to understanding your need for financial planning and learn about how we would partner together.
“Fee-only” means that we are compensated directly by you, our client. You choose to pay a flat fee, assets under management fee or hourly fee. We do not receive any commissions, kickbacks or other undisclosed revenue sources.
Most people think all financial planners are “certified,” but this isn’t true. Just about anyone can use the title “financial planner.” CFP® professionals have met rigorous qualifications for financial planning. CFP® professionals commit to high ethical standards, must have acquired several years of experience related to delivering financial planning services to clients and pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Exam before they can call themselves a CFP® professional.
We do not have any minimums. You may hire us for the level of services you need. We do not hold any minimum account size requirements or even require accounts be opened with us through one of our custodial relationships.
Only if you want to! You may take our investment advice and implement it on your own.The option remains yours!
No! UFP is a virtual financial planning firm, and we work with people who live in various places within the U.S. When you schedule an initial call, please indicate the state you live in so we can let you know if there could be any issues ahead of time.
Our typical client understands that everything we “have” is not really ours. “The heavens are Yours; the earth also is Yours. The world and everything in it–You founded them.” Psalm 89:11 We are merely stewards of what we “have.” Our clients understand that God gives us resources not only to provide for our needs, for our enjoyment but also for us to be a blessing to others including our family, the Body of Christ and our community.
